Simple Enough
Well I don’t live in Arizona but I guess I would have been fired if I went to work with my flu symptoms. I guess It shows how serious this flu is.
PHOENIX (AP) — Employees of an Arizona county with flu symptoms or a temperature of at least 100.4 degrees must stay home from work or risk being fired under a new policy….

Studying Henry Gustav Molaison, more commonly known as Patient H.M., and his memory impairments has revolutionized our understanding of human memory organization. Researchers will analyze his brain next, but first they’re slicing it up in a 50 hour long livestream. You can follow along right here and watch H.M.’s brain be turned into super-thin slices and mounted onto glass plates for later study

Let’s be honest here. How many people really follow through on their New Years resolutions? I read that near 90% of people fail within the first 3 weeks of the new year. So is it even worth the stress and disappoint to come up with resolutions?
I decided this year that I was only going to make one resolution, if you can call it that. That resolution is “to improve myself as best I can, be good to people and the world”.
Not real exciting I’ll admit but I feel it’s realistic and attainable which I find to be the most important thing if you are going to make resolutions.

Does anyone really enjoy going to the dentist beyond possibly an annual check-up? Well I sure don’t. Needless to say I am about to embark on a many months sessions with my dentist to fix some “major” issues that have been looming on my mouth. The list is long, it seems, and includes issues such as deep cleaning and scaling, teeth being pulled, a bridge, a root canal and a crown which should all be completed in the next 3 - 4 months, if all goes well. The journey all starts tomorrow morning. Stay tuned for more into this fabulous adventure.

My Mom is driving me totally crazy with all of her last minute changes with appointments, prescriptions and life in general. I know I need to be more patient with her, and I am trying, but there are days like the last two that just make it hard. I spent 4 hours with her at The Cancer Center of the Carolinas while she had blood work, saw her Doctor and finally did her chemotherapy treatment.
As for me I have spent more of my days off, and taking a couple of days off, dealing with doctors and dentists in the last month. Thought I was having a kidney infection and it turns out it is either a pinched nerve or possibly a bone spur in my back causing my back pain. Either way it has not been a great time for me. I have to see a back specialist next week and hopefully he can tell me for sure and then fix it. For now I am just taking pills to relieve the pain when it pops up.
The weather over the last week or so has been wonderful. It’s like spring has sprung around here. The trees are even starting bud and bloom. I just hope it dies not take a turn for the worst.
There are a lot of changes and rumored changes getting ready to take place at work which really puts a lot of stress on all that work there. I try to take everyday as just a day and not try and figure out what is going on upstairs. We are loosing another person off of our shift due some strife with the politics of work.

If you get a chance check out my new blog, Health Starts Today. It will be a great place for living healthy tips and products to get you that way. Thanks!
This blog is designed for those of you that are looking to get into or continue healthy living on a daily basis. After turning fifty I noticed a big difference in my energy levels, my weight and my overall health. After doing some research and talking with my family doctors I decided it was time that I took control or my everyday health. This is not a blog about fad diets or gimmicks. Everything I write here comes from things that have worked for me. I am not a doctor or health care professional and you should consult your health care professional if you have questions just as I did. I am not saying that everything I have done will work for you but I am saying that you need to take charge of your own health and this is what I have done and want to share it with you all.
